2 weeks have already passed since 2018 began. We are having relatively warm days here in Kyoto, but it will be colder again next week according to the weather forecast.
By the way, what do you think of when you hear the word Kyoto?
To me, it is Maiko (or Geiko).
Maiko/Geiko look like the image attached, and they are professional entertainers who attend guests during meals and banquets. They are trained in traditional Japanese arts, such as dance and music, as well as the art of communication.
If you are lucky, you can see Maiko/Geiko around places like Gion area and Kamishichiken area.
Why not explore Kyoto more to see them?
